Dr. Sudha Sood

DR SUDHA SOOD is a practicing medical doctor with a passion for medical education. She is a freelance Master trainer and Medical Consultant in topics ranging from Life Skills, Adolescent health, AEP, ARSH, Substance Abuse, HIV, Stress Management, Nutrition to First Aid, BLS and ASHI, since the last 20 years.

She has been a Consultant for both national and international organizations like UNFPA, ILO, UNICEF, UNODC, NIOS, RGNIYD, NCERT, SCERT, YUVA and St Johns Ambulance, and has done numerous trainings and master trainings for them. She was a Member of the National Adolescent Resource Team (NART) under Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. She was also invited as a consultant for the National Consultation on National Youth Policy. She has been a course writer for IGNOU, NIOS, RGNIYD, YUVA, and NCERT and has written many training manuals for them.

She is a registered trainer for Ministry of Shipping, GOI, for imparting first aid training to seafarers, and has written many manuals for them on First Aid. She has conducted training on first aid for Corporates,Factories, Schools, Colleges and Communities throughout the country.

She has trained more than 30,000 people till today.

She was selected in 2009 by the US Federal Government, Dept. of State, for the International Visitor Leadership Program for Women Medical Practitioners in the Development sector, and was invited to USA for 3 weeks. She also participated in their mentorship workshop, and has been mentoring many youth.

She is a Recipient of the Woman of the year for Health Award 2011 and citation from the Delhi Gynaecological Forum.

She is also passionate about spreading awareness and promoting blood and organ donation, and has organized numerous camps in Delhi with Rotary International and received an award from them for the same.

She is a Life Member of Indian Medical Association, Indian Academy of Pediatrics, and of IAP Adolescent Pediatrics Chapter.
