Samskrit, one of the ancient languages, is now considered as
a gateway to understand sacred ancient texts, hymns, dramas, etc. The following
Samskrit courses are being offered in collaboration with MIT Indic Knowledge
Studies (MIT IIKS), Pune with an intent to revive this languages usage and to
make modern individuals understand and gather information from ancient
Shaashtras.

This course is designed with an intent to provide working
knowledge of Samskrit to individuals so they will be able to speak and
understand without the need for translations.The intended outcome is that the
individual will be able to think natively in Samskrit, will be able to
construct simple sentences by understanding basic structure without grammar,
will be able to pronounce properly in Samskrit and also gain knowledge of
frequently used suffixes in Samskrit. Students will also understand the method
of splitting compound words, understand how word forms or sounds modify in
vicinity of adjacent words.

This course is designed with an intent of introducing classical
texts written in Samskrit to individuals and to motivate them to read the
scriptural texts themselves. Syllabus includes usage of Vibhaktinam, samasahs,
etc.

This course is designed with an intent to introduce samskrit
language constructs and technical terminology used in Indian Shaashtra texts.
It prepares an individual for self-study of Indic Shaastra texts.
